Wee Care - Communicable Disease Policy

Parents are asked to report any significant childhood or communicable disease to the teacher so that other parents may be alerted to the possibility of exposure.

Conditions, other than emergencies, that may require exclusion until either diagnosed or recovered include:

Fever, vomiting, nose or eye discharge that is yellow or green, new onset of rash, stiff neck or headache with fever, heavy cough, jaundice (yellow color to skin or eyes), skin lesions that are weeping or pus filled, diarrhea (3 watery loose stools per day with fever, or if condition persists longer than three days).  Parents will be notified to retrieve the ill child at the discretion of the teacher.  We reserve the right to refrain from enrolling or continuing to enroll a child whose medical or physical condition warrants special care not consistent with the education and abilities of the Wee Care staff.
