We will begin our school year within a week of the first day Newberg public schools begin. We will end the year by the end of May or within the first week of June. Our school will follow the same legal holidays and vacations as the Newberg Public Kindergarten. Please check the preschool calendar for any additional changes. Weather related closures of the Newberg Public Schools will be observed by the preschool. If morning public kindergarten is canceled due to inclement weather, preschool will also be canceled.
Hats, coats, and sweaters should be clearly marked with the child’s initials. Comfortable, washable playclothes will be best for school. The children will be painting, gluing, and engaging in other activities that may soil their clothes. This should be kept in mind when choosing clothing for your child to wear. The clothes should be easy for the child to undo so they can take care of their bathroom needs. The school is not responsible for damage to personal property or lost or stolen articles. Hats cannot be worn in the classroom. Heelies (shoes with roller skates in the heel) are prohibited.
No private marketing of products; i.e., Avon, Mary Kay, Cookie Lee, Creative Memories, etc., are to be solicited to other Wee Care families, Wee Care staff, or put in the cubbies of Wee Care children. No products may be solicited in the Newberg Christian Church building on Wee Care school days.
